It's so hard to believe our 1st baby is already 2! We had a great weekend, celebrating our little boy. My parents and sister, Kristin, came over for lunch and cupcakes on Saturday. It was a gorgeous day and we spent most of the time outside. Caedmon loved his gifts--a tricycle from us, a train set, the twirly flower, and a book from my parents, and some cute shirts and book from Kristin.
Caedmon has been so much fun lately--but, really, is he ever not fun? Here are some facts:
- He's still *talking* up a storm and his vocabulary is steadily increasing. We talked to the pediatrician at his check-up and he assured us that since Caedmon understands and communicates so much, there's no need to be worried about his language development right now.
- He loves all things transportation-especially airplanes and trains. It's been so nice that the weather has been absolutely gorgeous lately because Caedmon loves to be outside, playing with his trike or trucks, blowing bubbles, or just running around. He still loves to *read* and be read to. His latest bedtime favorites are The Little Engine That Could and Green Eggs and Ham. Both of which, not suprisingly, have trains in them.
- He's still a super eater, although he would much rather eat veggies than meat. You'll never see leftover steamed broccoli on his plate but uneaten chicken or beef isn't totally unheard of. He has mastered using forks and spoons and is well on his way to mastering a "big boy" cup. He uses a cup more often than not, except when we're "on the go".
- He loves Ansley and gets bummed when he can't find her because she's in her room sleeping. When he realizes she's sleeping, he's sure to say "sshh" and be quiet. He shares toys with her and likes to snuggle and roll around with her. He also loves to share her cheerios and her sippy.
- He weighs 30.4 lbs and is 36 inches tall.
